AN IMPORTANT YEAR

CONSOLIDATION of ARCHIVE AND COLLECTION

Six years on from Alexis's sad death, with the help of John Nicol, 60's art school friend of Alexis and the Alexis Hunter Estate Trust's representative in Australasia, the Trust is at last able to bring all her work - the Hunter family inheritance - together for assessment, research and to grasp new opportunities that will build her artistic legacy.

Works that have been scattered around New Zealand were collected, packed and shipped to the UK where Alexis lived and worked for most of her life.

Here at the Trust we eagerly followed the progress of this long-awaited shipment on the high seas aboard the Seatrade Blue.

THE SHIP DOCKED AT CANVEY ISLAND 2nd SEPTEMBER 2020 AND THE WORK WAS SAFELY DELIVERED TO THE TRUST 8th SEPTEMBER 2020.

We welcome this art home to join the major part of Alexis's archive which is being consolidated in Margate.
